National Park Baritú Salta

Baritú The National Park is located 30 km from the city of San Ramon de la Nueva Oran, keeping the biome mountain forests (Yungas) in perfect condition. It is a region of difficult access, located in the heart of the jungle-tucumano oranense, making it the largest park and less traveled in the geography of our Argentina.

Baritú National Park, created in 1974, is a tropical rain forest is characterized by the strong scent of leaves and wet soil. The region is distinguished by the density of its flora, but also by the presence of some unique examples that make this park an adventure worthy of travel.

Located in the northern province of Salta, more specifically in the department of Santa Victoria, Baritú is the only park in our tropical country. It extends over 72,000 hectares, and is regarded worldwide as one of the best preserved stocks globally due to the difficulty of access presented.

How to reach the National Park Baritú

There are numerous alternatives for access to the park, here are some:

- Going from the capital salteña to Oran, then to Aguas Blancas, and from there to Angosto Fish. From there the river goes back about 8 km until arriving at the meeting of rivers and fish Porongal within the park.

- Moving from the city of Salta, Oran, then go through the route 50 to Aguas Blancas and cross the river Bermejo. From there cross Nogalito, La Mamora, and then go through the river reaching the town of Los Toldos. Toward the river and thence Lipeo National Park Baritú.
