Campo Quijano
This town is distinguished by its colonial architecture, the color of its mountains, the blue of the sky and the beauty of its vegetation. Moreover, the presence of the railway station was established as a postcard from the past, emerged as a unique architectural experience.
Campo Quijano, we can enjoy the gastronomic delights of the typical location: empanadas, humitas, tamales, among many other regional dishes. In the surroundings you can enjoy Las Lomitas dam and the beautiful view offered by the Rio Arenales, in rancor.
The presence of the monument erected in honor of Maury engineer, builder of the railway lines passing by the Train of the Clouds, provides a beautiful landscape of Campo Quijano.
Sights
- Rio Blanco: representative of the unmatched appeal of the place, the White River is a place at the entrance to the Quebrada Deltoro. In the place is held every January 6 a feast of Our Lady of the River Blanco.
- Craft fairs every Saturday and Sunday from 9 to 16, in Plaza Martín Fierro unfold fairs selling native foods of various works in iron, clothing, wood crafts and regional.
- Parish of St. James Quijano: there is a thematic exhibition of life size figures. The visits can be made between 7 and 21:30 pm.
Besides these attractions, it is also important to note that in Campo Quijano are camping municipal and Quebrada del Toro, through which the Train of the Clouds.
